Alexander Tredwell are currently recruiting for exciting new General Catering Assistant positions for our clients a prestigious Independent School.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Catering Assistants to provide a catering service of the highest standard.

Our clients are looking for candidates who are available for either full time (average 40 hours per week) and part time (30 hours per week) positions.  

Catering staff work on a two week rota, with every other weekend off.  Some split shifts are required.

The role

Basic food preparation for all aspects of the catering provision

Provide food service to pupils and staff to an excellent standard of politeness and efficiency

To prepare food as per menu to include dietary requirements

To demonstrate a positive working style with an enthusiastic, committed, flexible attitude and good team work.

To work in compliance with Health & Safety Policy

To work within all legislative requirements including health, safety, fire and hygiene legislation in the kitchen FoH and BoH To complete as instructed and be trained in the correct and safe operation of all equipment and chemicals

To undertake food production in line with legal requirements and in relation to HACCP

To carry out any other duties commensurate with the post as may be reasonably required. These key tasks are not intended to be exhaustive, but they highlight a number of major tasks that the post-holder may be reasonably expected to undertake.
